CellScan Pro ("we", "our", or "us") is developed by Veysel TEKES. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use the CellScan Pro mobile application.
Location Data: We access your device's GPS to show nearby cell towers and calculate distances. Location data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.
Camera Access: The AR Tower Finder feature requires camera access to overlay tower information on the live camera feed. Camera data is processed locally and never transmitted.
Network Information: We read carrier name, network type (5G/4G/3G/2G), and signal metrics to provide signal analysis features. This data stays on your device.
Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (app opens, feature usage) to improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Device Identifiers: We collect certain device identifiers including device model, operating system version, and language settings for analytics and advertising purposes. These identifiers help us improve app performance and deliver relevant content.
Advertising Identifier (IDFA/GAID): Our app collects your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) to serve personalized advertisements through Google AdMob. This identifier is used by our advertising partners to deliver ads that are more relevant to your interests. You can reset or limit the use of your advertising identifier through your device settings.
Cell tower data retrieved from OpenCelliD is cached locally in an SQLite database for offline use. Signal measurements, favorites, and visit history are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to external servers.
CellScan Pro displays advertisements to free (non-subscribed) users through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following data to serve personalized advertisements:
• Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
• IP address (for approximate location-based ads)
• App usage and interaction data
• Ad performance data (impressions, clicks)
Google AdMob may share this data with its advertising partners to deliver targeted ads. For more information on how Google uses your data, please visit Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Premium (PRO) subscribers do not see advertisements and no advertising-related data is collected for them.
We use the following third-party services:
• Google AdMob — Advertising for free users (Privacy Policy)
• Firebase Analytics (Google) — Anonymous usage analytics (Privacy Policy)
• OpenCelliD API — Cell tower location data
• Apple StoreKit — In-app purchase processing
Each service operates under its own privacy policy. These third-party services may collect information sent by your device, including device identifiers, usage data, and advertising identifiers.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. However, advertising data (Advertising ID, device information, IP address) may be shared with Google AdMob and its advertising partners for the purpose of serving relevant ads to free users. This data sharing does not include your personal identity or location data collected for app functionality.
You can control the data collected for advertising purposes:
• Limit Ad Tracking (iOS): Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
• Reset Advertising ID (iOS): Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising and tap "Reset Advertising Identifier".
• Opt out of personalized ads (Android): Go to Settings > Google > Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
• Upgrade to PRO: Subscribe to CellScan Pro premium to remove all advertisements and stop advertising-related data collection entirely.
All data is stored locally on your device. You can clear all cached data at any time through the app's Settings > Clear Cache option. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data.
CellScan Pro is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
